The little images that you sometimes see associated with websites are called favicons or favorite icons. They are the icons displayed on the top address bar, on the browser tabs, or on favorite or bookmark list. If you want to create your own favicon go to favicon.cc to build one of your own. There are also several that have already been created and published on the site under the Creative Commons license.
